Thread ILIST *.tmp files in temp folder
Tue, Jan 28 2014 1:12 PMPermanent Link

One of my users has pointed out that when they are trying to delete files
from the temp folder there are two types of files that cannot be deleted and
windows says my program is using the file.

One example ILIST-022EA33.tmp and ICACHE...tmp files as well.

Are these files related to dbisam at all, does anyone know ?  They are not
files created directly by my program, so there must be a component or
something creating them.

Thanks

These are not dbisam files - at least i've never seen them.

Quick google search points to few instances were malware was using these
so full AV scan might be in order.

Also what did they use to see your program was using them ?  Process
explorer (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-ca/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx)
is one good way to track this.

They went to delete the files in windows explorer and it told them my
program was using the file.  I had the same experience myself here once the
customer pointed me to the correct folder.
The files are created at startup, I can only assume that some third party
component I have us doing that, my machine is clean here.
