According to http://www.elevatesoft.com/products?type=delphibcb (right
hand box) "Both DBISAM and ElevateDB work seamlessly with the Delphi,
Lazarus, and C++Builder development environments and their respective
VCL and LCL component libraries. All data access components are
provided as standard TDataSet descendants that work with all standard
and 3rd party data-aware controls and report writers."

Matthew, I have seen that advertisement, but it is not very helpful.  There are different versions of DBISAM for different versions of Delphi.  Which one should I use?  How do I install Dbisam in Lazarus?
BTW, I am new to Lazarus.

Well, I have to agree, there doesn't seem a lot of information on how
to make it work. I can only suggest emailing support and I would
presume they will have a sample application that you can study and
learn from.

Yes you can, with DBISAM ODBC Driver and the ODBC connection components in Lazurus.
I can't help with the details because I have no experience with Lazarus development, but you can play with it using the trial version of DBISAM ODBC driver before buying it.

You can download DBISAM ODBC from:
http://www.elevatesoft.com/download?category=dbisam&type=dbisamodbctrial

More information about the ODBC Driver here:
