Hi,

I just installed DBISAM VCL 4.30 on Delphi XE5 (Win7 64)
Installation run smoothly, but I can't find the DBISAM components on my component pallete.
Is there any extra step that need to be done?

I'll make a wild guess and say you only installed 64bit version of
DBISAM components.

You need both installed - 32bit is so you see them in Delphi (since
Delphi is a 32 bit app so design time components are only in 32bit
package) and can compile 32bit apps and 64bit so you can compile 64bit apps.

Make sure you install BOTH 32 and 64bit DBISAM components

I can't find 32 bit version of DBISAM 4.3.
I think maybe version 4.3 doesn't support XE5.

Bronson,

What do you mean by 4.3 - do you mean 4.30 (or 4.03 which would be circa
2004)?

XE5 support was added as of 4.37 so you need minimum of that if you want
XE5 design time support (4.37 build 3 is the one for example i have
available on download page from 4.37 and it has both "RAD Studio XE5
(Delphi Win32)" and "RAD Studio XE5 (Delphi Win64)" downloads).

If you're on maintenance i would of course suggest you get the latest
"4.40 build 1" which definitely is available for the XE5 and similarly
has the 2 downloads  mentioned above.
