Alter table and Redefine Question |
Sun, Aug 19 2007 7:25 PM | Permanent Link |
"Adam H." | Good Morning,
When using the alter table, with the redefine statement to alter the size of a stringfield within a table, does DBISam first check to see if the size of the field matches the new 'requested' size, or does it process the request anyway? If it will process the request regardless, is there a way in SQL to tell DBISam only to redefine the size of a field if the field isn't the new size that we want? Thanks & Regards Adam. |
