strange error on clients site (access denied on..) |

We encounter a strange problem. We use a dbIsam 3.3 database (not C/S) which is on the customers server. A intraweb application connects to that db via middleware (kbmmw). We use this in all our apps, with success!. However now we get an access denied on a temp file error (e.g. access denied on c:\dir\37440.dat). We cannott determine what causes this problem (it ran for a long time w/o problems), so I asked the customer for the database. When I put that data on my own machine and connect the same way to it (IW app via kbmmw) everything goes well (like it should)! So our guess is that something changed on the customers server, but what? What can posibly cause this error? Regards, Harry |

You are using some code that makes DBISAM to create back-up duplicates from .DAT tables, and those files will appear with .DBK and .IBK extensions. The size or amount of these .DBK tables exceeds 2 GByte (or was it 4 GByte) table size limit. |

Indeed. AV software caused it. Thanks for pointing it out.
