Thread DBISAM V 2.08 What ODBC Driver Version?

Hi everybody.

We have a DBIsam DataBase which version is 2.08. We need edit some tables from any
Programming Solution (Visual Studio, Java, PHP, what ever) but we can not do it, because
isn`t been possible find the right ODBC Driver.

We already install ODBC Trial 4.27, and the connection is possible, but not edit (Insert,
select, etc). The error is: Table's Version wrong. Also we have read that it`s possible
upgrade the Tables Version (To 4.27 for example), but in my stage that is not possible,
because other System (The Main System) need still working with old version of DBIsam
tables (Version 2.08).

We have tested ODBC Driver Version: 1.3, 2.1, 3.30 and 4.27, but just with 4.27 it`s
possible for us be connected, but not edit.

So, Can anybody suggest something for us?

Hi Randolph,

There is no ODBC driver for DBISAM V2 that allows writing to the
database. V3 was the first DBISAM version with Read/Write capabilities.

Hi Chris,

Thanks a lot.
We found a way to edit the tables, we will use delphi 5 and one ODBC Driver v1.3.
I'll let you know about it.

Kind regards.

Rich

Has there ever been any progress on this? I also need to read/write version 2.00 tables. Again upgrading the tables is not a possibility because they need to be accessed by a third party software that apparently uses version 2 methods of read/write to the tables.

Will the 1.3 or 2 odbc drivers work for read/write?

Thanks!
