Thread List of available databases?

H. Bischof

Hi,

I'm using the ODBC driver to communicate with a DBISAM 4 database. Within the connectionstring of the ODBC driver I have to specify the CatalogName. But I don't know the CatalogName before I remote connect to the ISAMDB. Is it possible to retrieve a list with all the available database instances from DBISAM server?

Regards,

Unfortunately, there isn't any way to do so via ODBC.  The ODBC spec assumes
that one knows the database names on a server prior to connecting.
