HTML5 Builder and DBISAM |

Luis Conception Gonzalez | With RAD PHP XE2, it was possible to connect to a DBISAM Database (using
DBISAM ODBC Driver and PHP ODBC functions). However, with the new Embarcadero product (HTML5 Builder), that uses RPCL php files, it is NOT possible to use ODBC connections. In fact, RPCL php files that uses ODBC have commented lines of code, so it seems ODBC is not supported by now (don't know why). I'm trying to get it working, because this is the only methot to develop mobile applications (iOS, Android, Windows Phone...) and DBISAM. I know it is possible, because I can connect to the database with *old* RPCL. So the question is... Is anybody trying to do the same? Thanks! Santy C. |

As for the issue, I would say that you would have to ask Embarcadero what the reason was for commenting out the ODBC connection support. Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
