Thread Is there a free read-only driver?

Hello,

I am being asked by my manager to create a small application that will extract data from a database generated by a larger (3rd party) application.

I've told them the situation -- there's a driver for it, but it's gonna cost them. Problem is, they aren't ready to spend this much money for something like this no matter how I put it.

So I was wondering, as last resort, is there any chance you'll offer a free version of the ODBC driver that would be just read-only?

Thanks in advance for the reply,
John

I'm sorry, but I don't see where a) you're a customer, or b) you intend to
be a customer.  You're asking for something for free, not asking for a
trial/evaluation version (which are readily available for download at any
time from our Downloads page), and you specifically stated that your company
does not want to pay.

Or am I completely misreading what you wrote ?
