I hope you're stockpiling suggestions for ElevateDB - just to give yourself something to do after its launch. I'd like an AUTOINCINGROUP just to save me the effort of coding it myself. It would be applicable where an AUTOINC was the second or subsequent field in a multi field key and it would always start at 0 when a new record was added where the preceding fields in the key didn't already exist. Thereafter it would increment. Easy for a man of your calibre Roy Lambert |

>Yes, I'll get on the enhancements right *after* I get drunk. Good idea - I recommend a nice bottle of single malt - at least 15 years old. Once you've drunk it you should then go and do another round of tests - I guarantee you'll find some more bugs ><< I'd like an AUTOINCINGROUP just to save me the effort of coding it >myself. > > It would be applicable where an AUTOINC was the second or subsequent field >in a multi field key and it would always start at 0 when a new record was >added where the preceding fields in the key didn't already exist.
