That's a reasonable point. How about just we just butter them and toast until a nice golden colour?

Nah! I want to think of something nasty for them. Something slow, nasty and not to costly with them ending up used as fertiliser so we at least get some use out of them.

I have to say I would not welcome disembowelment myself.  Now I am
all agog to discover what 'nasty' means to you!  Anyway we should not
worry about the cost - I am sure we will be overwhelmed with
volunteers and willing to pay for the privilege along with the
spectators.  Might make more money than HR in these times! <bg>

Roy,

<< Its actually this amount of effort >>

You're doing a bit too much:

1) EDB will automatically create the store directory when it accesses it the
first time, so you can remove it.

2) You don't need to use FileExists to test for backups - just query the
Backups table in the Configuration database to get a list of backups.
There's no need to mess with backup extensions, etc.

That's a nice site, just as long as I'm not expected to join in the activity. My contribution would go

OK that's 1 line of code that could go

I'm going to have to give that one more thought. My initial one was "ah another table to clean up" so I tried this

delete from configuration.backups

in EDBManager and was rewarded by Access violation at address 004031F0 in module 'edbmgr.exe'. Read of address 00134000
