Would you be so kind as to allow the use of F9 to set a filter as well as clicking on the button. These days I have a Pavlovian response to press F9 when I want something to happen.

F9 is already used for the execution of SQL, so I'm going to have to use a
hot-key combo instead.

Why? If the active control is the filter box then F9 sets the filter otherwise it executes the sql; or doesn't your code lend itself to that? A key/key combo other than F9, in my opinion, isn't worth it. The reason for the suggestion is that its become almost automatic pey press for me - to run an app from within the IDE press F9 - to run SQL from within EDBManager press F9 so when I go to set a filter I start to press F9, realise it won't work and click the button instead.

If F9 can't be used I'm happy to keep on clicking the button.

They're two different things, that's why.  I don't like mixing key
assignments for different functions.

In that case I'd just leave things as they are.
