This could be a communications breakdown. Click once and the tree collapses from the selected node on down, including sub-nodes. Click again and the node reopens with all the sub nodes in the same expanded state as when the tree was collapsed. Which checking with a simple tree is standard behaviour. I'll have to check to see what I've done to mine (TElTreeLite rather than TTreeView) to make them collapse fully.

I have a right-click menu from which I call FullCollapse and in the collapsing event I walk down the tree and close sub-nodes.

Click once on what ?  The collapse button for the explorer at the top, or
the + button for the node ?  I'm talking about the former, not the latter.

I knew it was a communications problem (or more correctly me being thick). I'm going to have to follow the advice I give to users - read the screen <bg>. All I can say is that I had one of those mode blocks that are best solved by leaning over someone's shoulder, pointing, and screaming "that button"

Playing with it I love the expand the node - that'll keep me entertained for hours.

Now for a bug. Click on ElevateDB Manager, click collapse all, click expand all and you get

I think you need to disable the expand button here as you've done elsewhere

It works fine here.  More than likely this is related to the issue with
closing the session with an open table.

Don't think so. I've tried closing everything manually, disconnecting all sessions and I still get it.

But I just noticed the default session doesn't have a path defined. Put one in and the problem goes away.

Yep, that will do it.  Every session requires the proper connection
information or else the expand will get an error.
