Not sure what you are exactly seeking, but I have written software that does
realtime data collection with ComputerWise TT3A terminals on an RS 422 multi
drop network.  The collected In and Out punches are then processed and
system calculates net hours worked based on user defined rules.  Each
employee is assigned to a set of Rules.

The system uses DBISAM as the database.

I have a client who still use old clock card machines for their employees
when they get to work. They need to replace this with another type of
system. There are a few options:

1. Using Biometrics
2. Use a card / Delta type of system
3. Use the screen and keyboard

One of biggest challenges is that not all the people are computer literate
so Screen & keyboard might be out.

I don't know the ComputerWise TT3A terminals, but are interested is your
solution. Is it possible to see some screen shots or even a demo version?

If needed we can take it offline.

Hi,

The screen and keyboard isn't to bad even for people who do not use
computer. I took that consept and used a bar code reader. Each employee is
issued a laminated card with a unique barcode. The card is printed used
fastreports  on a plain piece of paper then laminated using a 50$ laminator.
Users scan there card when they are in and when they leave. All they have to
do is look at the screen to make sure the scan was done properly. Works
really well. The barcode scanner was about 100$ and is just a wedge between
keyboard and computer. As it scans you just handle the form key down and
process the barcode

it works for barcode cards, magnetic tape cards, and one customer told
me that he adapted to a fingerprint reader.

I suggested the barcode method to a hard nosed guy once,
his reply was only if I can tattoo the buggers on the forehead.
