BS1 Professional Time Billing and Accounting multi-user is free for Delphi
programmers. When installing, it checks your registry to see if Delphi is
installed and if so it's free, otherwise it installs as a 30 day trial.

The source code is available (though not free) for ADO SQL Server, DBISAM,
Paradox, Advantage, and InterBase. Developers may license the source code for
use in their custom Delphi solutions royalty-free. Manufacturing, Inventory,

BS1 Professional is an integrated time billing and accounting system:
Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Inventory, Time
Billing, and Sales Analysis.

You can ignore the accounting features if you don't want to use them (GL, AP,
AR, inventory). The Time Billing section has a jobs list, sorted by priority
or due date. You can filter this by customer, min priority, etc. and toggle to
show "Outstanding only (uncompleted jobs)". Each job is comprised of multiple
tasks, and you can enter rich text notes at the job level or task level.

You record your time by entering time sheets against the job tasks: either by
entering the decimal time, or by entering start and stop times, or by a
"stopwatch" timer feature. You can have multiple time sheets open
simultaneously and toggle the stopwatches off and on if required.

There are several built-in reports to show what you've been working on,
summary and detail, different sorts and filters. A job status report, job
detail report, jobs list, time sheets list with notes and totals, filterable
by job, customer, invoice number, etc. The database is DBISAM 4, so if you
have that you could create more reports that way.

For companies with multiple employees you can optionally assign project
leaders to jobs and/or employees to tasks, and filter the jobs list by project
leader, record time by employee, and print reports sorted/totalled/filtered by
employee.

User-defined financial statements can be created through a simple set-up
process. GL account totals and inventory totals can be viewed on screen with
drill-down to original source transactions.

Sample data is provided and there is an optional Getting Started wizard to
assist with entering initial live data. The wizard sets up common GL accounts
which can later be changed, deleted, or added to.
