I have a customer who gets ElevateDB error 1100A  Aconnection to the server 'SRv' cannot be established (cannot create new socket)
ElevateDB server is running on server 2003
Application is running on W10
After the last update of W10, this error occurs.
It seems that server 2003 is using SMB 1 and the latest update of win10 doesn't support SMB 1
Another application (from other software vendor) running on FireBird still works.
Uninstalling the last update of W10 fixed the problem, but it will return with the next update.
The server and application use EngineVersion 2.14 Build 5
Is there a workaround ?

This is probably the same one as broke RDP. Here is a message from another place:

Yes, this was plaguing us last week. You can update the other end, of fix
it with a change to (local) group policy, or a registry poke, to patch
yourself back to 'vulnerable'.

Let us know if it fixes it.

Are you running the application .exe from the SMB 1 share ?  If so, then you're probably running into this same issue:

https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/ddd2b229-65fd-4bfe-95b0-83c4e29e6841/windows-10-1803-could-not-create-socket-invalid-argument-when-running-program-from-smbv1?forum=officesetupdeploylegacy

But, unfortunately, I don't have any other advice other than to move the application to the local machines and execute it from there.
