Hmm. Nice excuse. Never mind, disconnecting mind share from Delphi probably not a bad thing for me as I move on.

I find is absolutely craze that *nobody* on Embarcadero side seems to
care about newsgroups - even if it's for marketing and general
announcements.

Every delphi developer i know of seems to participate in newsgroups in
some form  (anonymous reader).

This day and age it is really not that hard to get a newsgroup server
and software running (especially since they have purged some older data
anyways i think)

This whole thread is so depressing!

1. A REALLY USEFUL part of the Delphi ecosystem is not working, and no one at EMB seems to really care, or even think it is important, and it stays broken pretty much forever.

2. EMB continue to spam-email us with pointless sales emails, but can't cope when someone spams them back!

3. An email address which should be used to communicate with them, from THEIR WEBSITE goes off to some random marketing domain, and doesn't even reach a human who can respond to it.

... if I was a new user I don't think I would possibly think of starting to use Delphi given all this. It really kills anyone's willingness to start with it as a tool.

It is a pity as so many people in the ecosystem do such tremendous work.

I've now tried 3 different email addresses and each has bounced. I did start a "chat" from the Idera site but that was answered by a sales droid Frown
