Hi Guys,
I am effectively brand new to EDB.  Yes I played with it many years ago but never got serious.
I am now.
I am converting an 11 App project using Advantage Database Server to EDB.  This has become urgent from my Customer's perspective as he desperately wants to get off ADS.
This is quite a challenge as I have to learn EDB at the same time.  The conversion will be to 'Local' mode initially, then to enable Remote mode.
So.  I beg your forgiveness as I ask the stupid questions or seek readily known information.  Feel free to point me at any relevant doco.  But, if I don't understand, I will be back. Wink
I figure that by the time I have finished this 'Project' I will working knowledge of EDB but still have a long way to go.
As of the writing of this I think I am going reasonably well.  I have a couple of the smaller apps converted but as I learn more about EDB I find myself returning to them to add refinements.

Regards and appreciate any/all your support to come, Smile

Your customer is right!, after SAP got ADS, is a big risk to have your little or medium business realing on ADS, no updates, problems with new OS, almost no support, and uncertain future.

We are doing the same as your customer, after we test several options, we choose EDB!.

And doing allready some convertions, working very smoth.

Good Luck!.
