I'm now treasurer for Lybster Community Association. Tichy little organisation - few dozen transactions a year. I hate using spreadsheets for accounts. I can do it as all that's needed is a simple single entry system (my QuickBooks would blow their minds) but I hate it.

Before I start writing my own, or decide on a bit of paper, does anyone have code they'd like to donate?

Hi Roy,
   Have alook at Trevor's BS/1 https://www.dbsonline.com/index.html
IIRC the 'Accounting' version is free but limited.  It might do what you want out of the box.  And it's written in
Delphi.

Thanks for the suggestion, but as I replied to Raul on the DBISAM ng - way to complicated for these people. Its cheap enough ($79) but think non-professional, Secretary who has difficulty spelling, Trustee who maintains that no one actually owns the hall - its owned by the community at large, constitution which has duff cross references to clauses, a different constitution they think is current to the one held by the charity regulator and with a final clause stating it was agreed in a meeting in 1972 but was dated and signed in 2000. I could go on if you want Smiley

Hi Roy,
Sounds more like you need a referee more than accounting software...

Nope - what I needed was duct tape across my mouth at the meeting where volunteers were asked for!
