I contacted Tim 3 weeks ago and pointed to this thread. He replied that he will post something here shortly.

He is obviously dealing with some serious shit, probably something very personal and debilitating. Give him some slack. This isn't like him, he always walked the extra mile for the customer, he will talk and clear things up when he is ready to.

Tim did post a new update today.  I've not looked at what fully has changed.

I do hope Tim is doing ok and hope what is going on in his life is ok.  A great person and valuable asset to the Delphi community.

I also had an email from Tim a few days saying that he would make an announcement soon, so that's encouraging.

That's awesome.

I continue to leverage EDB in my projects.  I've been really hopeful for single file "SQLITE" type EDB, but that's been a long time goal post.

EDB is still stellar for what it does and hope it continues to progress and hopefully see some further work done, addressing outstanding issues and pushing the product forward.

Just curious.  Other than having a single self contained file for the database, what would single file get us that we don't have now?

Dito. I read this wish more than once, but can't really figure out what the benefit might be. If the db consists of a single file vs 100 files, what's the difference, other than you lose the ability to repair/replace a single table?
