I test the last version on Linux. The client is on windows 10 and the server is on debian 11.
The setup seem ok. ElevateDB manager on windows view the server.
I have some errors with CREATE DATABASE statement.

With ElevateDB manager, i create the database without error but none is created on the server.
The first database open create error 9999 but the database directory is created without the configuration database.
The second database open create error 9999 and the configuration database is written on the server.
For the next database open, all is ok.

I have tried by program on Delphi 2007.
I use session.execute with CREATE DATABASE.
The result is error 9999 and none is created, so i can't open twice as with manager.

Where is the problem ?

NB: In the documentation for Linux, to start the daemon (service), It's not "net start edbsrvr" but "sudo systemctl start ebsrvr"

This is a known issue that I've been trying to resolve.  There's something different or missing with certain distributions that is causing the problem, but I have yet to pin it down, and the fact that there isn't an actual AV/segfault with an address makes it harder to find.

I'm working with your developer via email to track down the issue this week.

We've tested successfully with Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and Mint (Cinnamon) 20.2 (both 64-bit).

However, we've had a customer indicate that he had the same errors that you're seeing with both of these, so whatever the error is, it isn't sensitive to the distribution, but rather to the configuration of the distribution.
