Thread Indenting blocks in editor
Fri, Apr 22 2011 4:58 AMPermanent Link

Uli Becker

After selecting a block of text in the sql-editors and pressing TAB, the
selection goes away, so it has to be selected once more to perform
another indent.

Could that be changed?

Thanks Uli

Sure.  It should keep the selection anyways, so this is actually more of a
bug.

I double-checked on this, and this seems to be working just fine here in
2.05 B6 - the selection stays put through the indent and unindent process.

Hmmm... I am using the same version.

Please have a look on this video:

Any settings which can cause the problem?

Hmm, weird.  I tried it with a procedure body, and it did what you showed.
However, just to make sure that I wasn't crazy, I tried it in an SQL window
again like I did the other day, and it worked fine.  Furthermore, now I
can't reproduce it in the procedure dialog, even after restarting the EDB
Manager.

I'll have to do some more playing around.

That's really weird.

I tried it with different OS's: here it never works, neither in the SQL
window nor in the procedure dialog.

Errors like this fail just about every time on WinXP in a virtual machine
due to the memory constraints, so I'll try that next.
