Thread After EDBMgr creates a Check Contraint, values disappear in tabbed folder

This looks like a minor bug and is confusing.

If I create a Check constraint with EDBMgr (v2.13 B2) and enter the:
Properties Tab: Name
Check Tab: Check Expression
Error Tab: Custom Error Code & Message

and press "Add Constraint", the constraint gets added ok. The new constraint row is highlighted in the constraints grid.

But if I now click on the Check tab or Error tab, the values are blank, even though the constraint grid has the newly added constraint highlighted. To get the proper values displayed in the tab regions, I have to click to a different constraint in the grid and then back to the newly added constraint to see the values in the tabs.

So this is more of a display problem with the tabbed data not being refreshed properly when a new constraint is entered.

I also noticed when a Check Constraint is deleted, the tabs still display the deleted information even though the grid has a different constraint highlighted. I'm not sure if this is by design, or not.

Nope, not a bug - a feature request.  I can't remember exactly who requested
it, but someone complained about the fact that extended attributes of
columns/constraints are kept around after adding an item, and that it would
result in items being added with incorrect attributes.  So, I made the EDB
Manager explicitly clear them out.

Ok, that makes sense.

Yesterday I was going to ask Tim if he "rounded up the usual suspects", would we see Roy's face in the crowd? But I bit my tongue and didn't write it. I'm glad to see you've turned yourself in. Smile

If you'd accidentally created the wrong column for the umpteenth time you'd understand Smiley

Roy,

Your suggestion does make sense.
So I will happily withdraw my original comment about this being a bug/problem.
