I just noticed that there was a non-printable character in the .ini file entry for the MaxRequestSize:

Max Request Size=67108864‬

Please remove the #8236 portion when using with your server(s).

What you write is what happened to me. Added to that the antivirus also secures port 80.

<<The IDE is not responsible for configuring the port for the external EWB Web Server.  The external EWB Web Servers use their own .ini file located here:
C:\ProgramData\Elevate Software\Elevate Web Builder 3 Web Server\ewbsrvr.ini>>

I thought that the locations of the ini files had changed in the EWB3 version and that the ini of the ewbsrvr.exe in this new version is encrypted for security. This is because I only saw the ewbsrvr.db file. Therefore, do not look for the ini of the ewbsrvr, in the reference location that is the same as the EWB2.
So I was wondering how to configure it.

Attached screenshot where the file ewbsrvr.db is which confused me.
I understand then that in the .db file, the IDE Databases configuration is stored in it.
Since ewbide.ini no longer contains DataBase definitions
Is that so?

Thanks for answering all my questions. Cordially

Alvaro

Alvaro,

Yes, this is done this way because the IDE automatically sets up the internal web server for development purposes, and the external EWB Web Server is expected to be used for server deployment, not development.

No problem.  It's all a bit confusing still because of the lack of documentation.

Yes, that is correct.  The .db file is used to store all of the server objects (and any future objects), including users, roles, privileges, databases, datasets, installed applications/modules, etc.

Tim thanks for the explanation. So should I assume that there will also be an ewbsrvr.db file for the external server?
If so, can I still configure the info modules and database definitions in the ewbsrvr.ini or is it no longer allowed?
I haven't tried yet ...

No, you have to use the Server Manager in the EWB IDE.  However, keep in mind that there will be a migration option in the final release that will allow you to migrate selected server objects from the internal web server to any external web server of your choosing.  This will be available from the Server Manager, making it easy to deploy changes from your development EWB IDE.
