Thread EWB 3 Build 13 - Problems With Search And Replace
Wed, May 27 2020 10:22 PMPermanent Link

Rob Frye

There are a few concerns I've found with Search and Replace -

1) The up and down buttons perform a Search instead of Search and Replace.

2) The 'Case-sensitive search' button doesn't properly apply the setting.  Instead the setting from the Search toolbar is used.

3) The 'Search the entire unit' button doesn't properly apply the setting.  Instead the setting from the Search toolbar is used.

Rob,

<< 1) The up and down buttons perform a Search instead of Search and Replace. >>

Do you have the prompt button selected on the replace toolbar (the document with footprints icon) ?

<< 2) The 'Case-sensitive search' button doesn't properly apply the setting.  Instead the setting from the Search toolbar is used.

These are now fixed for build 14.

Thanks !

It doesn't make any difference.  Simply do a Search and then do a Search and Replace where the search text is different.  If you then click on the Up or Down buttons in Search and Replace you will see it searches for the original text from the old Search.

Hmmm, I'm not seeing this here, so I may have already fixed this in conjunction with another fix (not your same report, though Smile).

Please let me know if you see this with build 14 when it's released.

Thanks !
