ShieldUI has a suite of high-quality Javascript components:

http://www.shieldui.com/products/javascript

Is there a way they could be used in EWB?

Interesting set. But from a quick look, they need jQuery, and they cost
$$$.

Key question then is would you pay $399 for a set of those components
that worked with EWB? Is there a market for this? Why not ask them if
they'd do an EWB version of their components?

Just a thought...

(The alternative is someone here does a similar set - what price will
people pay for components for EWB? Hmm, I wonder if there is a way for
people to sell components via ElevateSoftware... Hmmm)

I believe not mixed together with EWB - each product uses its own layout
and drawing logic thus interface would not work properly.

The more stand-alone ones could be hosted inside a ewb tbrowser
component (chart or barcodes or such) but that likely is not what you're
asking for

No.  What controls/components are you looking to use ?  Many of the controls that they offer either already exist in EWB or can be easily created.

It was just a general question, out of curiosity.

Ahhh. Smile

The one thing to keep in mind when checking out many different types of JS component suites is the keyboard support.  With many JS components, keyboard/tabbing support is limited or non-existent, so porting over desktop applications to use them is a non-starter.  This is *not* the case with EWB, where even controls like the TCalendar offer complete keyboard support.  And this difference is fundamental: keyboard support is *not* something that can be easily just tacked on after-the-fact.
