Thread Smooth scrolling

Running any website (HTML) in Chrome e.g. shows a smooth scrolling
(Height > Screen.Height). Running an EWB app (scrolling the surface)
that doesn't work.

What is the difference and how can a smooth scrolling be achieved?

Thanks Uli

I'm not sure what you mean by "smooth scrolling", but EWB has to manually control all scrolling, due to the custom scrollbars and scroll handling, so it does not exhibit any special scrolling effects or animations.

Tim,

In Chrome e.g. it's a default feature - a slightly animated scrolling.

chrome://flags/
Look for "Optimized scrolling" (translated from the German version)

Ah, ok. I understand.
Since animations are part of EWB: would it be possible to add such an
animation as a scrolling effect?
It really looks *much* better.

Thanks Uli

Yes, but I need to add the specific calculations for the animation, which aren't currently present.  The last time I looked into this, I think that I was missing the acceleration/deceleration calculations.
