There have been several inquiries about File I/O from EWB client.  It's very doable.

So I wrote a blog article which helps, but it requires my Nice component library to be useful.  There is a demo source code and compiled example in the post.

I'd encourage people to update to the latest Nice version, as there was an intermittent bug with the older file i/o portion.
