Funny Cursor |

Uli Becker | When I start an application using IE8, there is a funny issue:
1. Click on a button and open a form (Step1.png click on "Patienten-Stammdaten" 2. A Form with an edit-control opens. (Step2.png) 3. After closing the latter, the cursor is still visible in Form1 and can be moved. (Step3.png) With Chrome and Firefox no problems. Uli Attachments: Step1.png Step2.png Step3.png |

<< 3. After closing the latter, the cursor is still visible in Form1 and can be moved. (Step3.png) >> Are you just hiding the form or freeing it ? Damn IE, it may require literally removing the form from the DOM in order to get it to stop doing stupid stuff. Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

Tim Young [Elevate Software] Elevate Software, Inc. timyoung@elevatesoft.com | Uli,
I'm trying to replicate this here and get it fixed for the next release, but I cannot reproduce it. Do you have a reproducible project/test case that you can send me ? Thanks, Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

Tim Young [Elevate Software] Elevate Software, Inc. timyoung@elevatesoft.com | Uli,
<< OK, sent by EMail. >> Okay, this is a bug in IE8 and is fixed in IE9, so unless you absolutely need IE8 support, make sure that the IE HTML5 compiler option is enabled in your EWB project and that should fix the issue. I'd spend more time on this, but EWB 2.x is going to be IE9 and higher only, so IE8 support is going away, along with a bunch of weirdness like this with focusing/clicking. If you have any other questions, please let me know. Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
