These are simple "compound" components, using a TPanel and then more TPanels and shapes and the like. The advanced one I have in mind has to be drawn on a canvas, but I'd start simple and give the slider away. Got to learn how they are built first. -- Matthew Jones |

Tim Young [Elevate Software] Elevate Software, Inc. | Matthew,
<< These are simple "compound" components, using a TPanel and then more TPanels and shapes and the like. >> Yeah, you'll be doing those in your sleep with EWB 2 fairly quickly. It's really, really simple to do containers and graphical controls. The hardest controls to do are those that require a lot of keystroke handling, but that doesn't have anything to do with EWB, specifically. For example, the TListBox (base class TListControl) took a bit of doing to get done because it's a custom list box now and doesn't use the built-in browser list control. But, it looks a *lot* better and can be completely re-skinned, as well as inherited from to create things like color selectors, check box list controls, etc. I'm putting together a video on how to create a progress control in EWB 2 this weekend, so look for a posting soon about it. << The advanced one I have in mind has to be drawn on a canvas, but I'd start simple and give the slider away.
