I find it difficult to select a grid on the design page when you have added a couple of columns. I only seem able to select the columns themselves.

Would it be possible to have an easily clickable bit of the grid which doesn't get covered by columns for ease of selection? I know I can select it from the object inspector, but when I've created half a dozen badly named grids (Grid1, Grid2, etc.) it becomes a chore to find the one I'm looking for.

Cheers.

Click on the grid and the column is shown in the Object Inspect - then if you press the Escape key then Grid is shown.

Does this solve the problem?

Well, blow me down with a feather. So it does.

And yes, that does solve my problem. Thanks for that.

Where did you read about that? There must me lots of other things like this I don't know about.

Pressing escape takes you through the hierarchy. It is standard in
Delphi so makes it automatic for Delphi users in EWB.

Delphi works the same way.  If you click on an object, then press ESC, the focus changes to the Parent, hit ESC again and focus moves to that controls parent control.

Ah, I'm not from Delphi (well, not since Windows 95 anyway - believe it's changed hands since then).

I'll find some delphi ide instructions and see what else I'm missing...

Cheers.

Walter and Matthew did a better job of explaining it than I did.

There are things that are "missing", and there are some that aren't.
Best just express your frustrations as you did, and others will either
agree and campaign for improvement, or tell you a way to do it.
