Hi all,

Since I'have never worked with TAudio or any plugins: how can I play a
*.m4a (Apple lossless) file within EWB?

Thanks Uli

You should be able to use the TAudio control to play both MP3 and MP4 files in most browsers.

You are right. Obviously there was a problem with my test file. Other m4a-files are played fine.

I was asked to write a kind of iTunes replacement using EDB. Meanwhile I prefer to work with EWB instead of Delphi. Smile
In Delphi it's no problem to get the length and the progress of an audio file, but is that possible in EWB as well? I don't need the length, just an event for the progress. I guess I need additional JS code for that..

Thanks Uli

Nope, you can hook into any number of events for tracking various aspects of the playback of both audio and video resources:

http://www.elevatesoft.com/manual?action=viewcomp&id=ewb2&comp=TAudio

Each event in that list has the specifics about how it should be used.

Tim,

just to let you know: meanwhile I found out, that all m4a files created
by the latest version of iTunes, don't play in all browsers. Nor does
Windows Media Player play them.
I have to investigate that further.
