Thread Secure localhost External Web Server

I don't know if this is an IDE problem but the only way I can use a secure external web server within the IDE is for my server to redirect the request from port 80 to 443.

If I set the External Web Server URL to https://localhost port 443 and run the project in the IDE browser window the caption says "http://localhost:443" instead of "https://localhost:443" and

I get a Error accepting connection with SSL and a error:1408F10B:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_RECORD:wrong version number.

I'm not sure what it means but I think it's  trying to do a unsecure request using http instead of https.

I've attached a couple screenshots.  It's not a big deal but I haven't been able to figure it out.

Thank you!

Best regards,
Allen

You are not secure - EWB 2.x  webserver does not support HTTPS.

Version 3.0 EWB is planned to have HTTPS support.

Search the forum for STunnel - this is being used by a few people to provide secure (HTTPS) websites with EWB Server.

Yes but assuming he is using external server that has tls support this
looks like an IDE bug.

Allen,

I've fixed this for 2.06 B19, which hopefully will be out today.
