Thread Moving "local" setup to "server"

Hi

Using EDB and EWB latest version.
and moving from Windows 7 setup to a Windows Server setup.

The setup uses "edb" tables and those same tables are also defined in the EWB DataBase Manager.

I need to move my database definitions/structures/tables from my "development" machine to a "live server".

I am aware of an import facility in in EWB Server but that copies from the EWB IDE.
(So do I need to install EWB on the server machine to facilitate this?)

I am also aware of the ewbide.ini file and the edbmgr.ini located in the the users folder

1. Is it these I need to use ? or is there more involved ?

Could you please advise how I could achieve this in the most efficient manner.

best regards

Kamran

Kamran,

you can open the local ewbide.ini, copy the whole database/dataset stuff and paste  it in the ewbsrvr.ini of your new server. That will do it.

Make sure that the server is not running when saving the ini file.
