The browser in the IDE should work the same as an external instance of IE11 (or whatever IE version you're using >= IE9).  So, nothing would change in this respect with Chrome.

If you're running into cross-origin loading issues, then you should make sure that your application is set up to deploy on run, and then make sure that it is set up to deploy to the same external server that you're running against in the IDE.

This is on the list.  At some point you will be able to install forms as controls on the component palette.  This will also be the case with aggregate controls. I just need to add the necessary support for inherited method calls to the designer code generation.

I've got key=value on the list, which will probably end up being how this is implemented.  It may end up being a separate property, though.

IE11 should work okay in the IDE with local storage.  The data-bound controls example project uses local storage.

Can I get the debug info in the IDE to see where it is stopping? I get that error message as soon as it starts, and before the loading spinner has been hidden.

If you run the DataBound example project that is shipped with EWB, does the local storage work ?

I'm not sure if this qualifies as a small thing but I would like a
solution approach to project management so that I can have multiple
projects open with shared common code between them all. This would be
useful when creating different UIs for different devices especially if
there was a facility that allowed a specific form to be chosen at
application start based on device type.

I guess something similar to solution management in Visual Studio.
