You're going to have to use that workaround for now.  I need to re-work the way that the unbound rows are handled in this respect.  It's easy to fix the positioning issue during the DeleteRow, which is the bug, but it will clear out any multi-selected rows in the process, so I need to add a DeleteSelected method that does this for you in one shot.
