For example, say a change is made to the DataSet RowSource Query and a new field is added. One have to remove the dataset from the form and drop the updated dataset onto the form.

Doing this would lose the settings in the DataSet Columns Events as it is a new dataset object requiring the need to reset all the Event accordingly.

Ahh, okay. That's on the list, but it probably won't be in 2.05.

In such a case you should keep the dataset and just add the new field
manually.

LOL.. So you are saying my workaround of changing the file itself isn't necessary after all?

I remain hopeful that I am not the only developer that misses/forgets the simple things sometimes. Smile

Thanks.

Right now it looks like mid-to-late February for the 2.05 release.

Hi Tim,

Any news on this update as its mid April now, still awaiting the fix for the CORS, with these delays i think you should extend the yearly fee, before you know its time to pay again

Yes, I know.

No, that won't be happening.  If you don't want to pay for a subscription because you don't see any value in doing so, then don't purchase a new subscription.  The last cycle saw 4 major updates to EWB with hundreds of improvements, well worth the $8.25 a month the subscription cost you.

We *always* fix all bugs.

As I said, I know.  2.05 just caught out with a bunch of simultaneous issues that have contributed to its delay.  It happens occasionally over the years, especially with minor releases that involve major changes like 2.05.
