MatterCat, a law office management system built with EWB 1 launched in open beta this week.  This is a full-featured, legal time and billing system that is free to use.  The back end uses EDB with custom modules written in Delphi.

Promotional page:  http://www.mattercat.com (not built with EWB)

Actual app:  https://www.altabiller.com (click "Demo")

I call a custom EDB module (written in Delphi) that produces the pdf and returns a URL.  If the user's browser has the Adobe Reader plugin installed, then the user can also email the report, etc.

Looks nice. I think I'd want to allow the various windows to be open at
the same time, so you can view clients and have a timer running for
example. But it's very nice and clean looking.

That's a ditto from me.  I forwarded your links to a colleague as we are
plotting our own dip into the murky world of web once EWB2 is available.

It spurred a discussion about having the ability to open other screens
e.g. While entering a transaction, receiving a balance enquiry by phone
on another account ...

Cheers
