I'm getting marked differences in behaviour in the built in web browser, Chrome, Maxthon and IE.

I built a small project dropping an edit, panel, grid, memo, combobox, label and listbox, checkbox, radiobutton  on the form. Compiled and ran on the internal browser. Fine apart from the fact that the edit looks like a label.

Closed the form, deleted the panel & grid. Compiled and the internal browser now refuses to show anything. Open the produced html directly in the browser and I get the following:

Maxthon (my default browser):
shows perfectly. The edit even looks like an edit

IE:
shows as it did in the internal browser before it stopped showing anything. Edit looks like a label, combobox looks like a label and no drop down, checkbox has lost its check, radiobutton has lost its blob, , listbox has no text and a couple of frames drawn inside it.

Chrome:
shows but mangled. The label isn't visible, the captions for the checkbox & radiobutton are gone, the text in the listbox is all at line one column 1, the combobox dropdown doesn't, the edit text isn't shown

This really puzzles me. I would have expected Maxthon to be the one that screwed up since its not a common one.

Roy,

Please send over the project.  Usually, this type of thing is just a bug in
the framework for that particular browser, and I'm constantly
fixing/adjusting the framework still to accommodate such problems.

For Chrome or IE?

Roy,

What version of IE are you using ?  I tried it in the IDE (IE), in FireFox,
and in Chrome, and all 3 looked just fine.  It could, however, be an issue
that has been fixed, so I would recommend trying it again with the next
build (the one that I'm using to test with).

Roy,

BTW, what is everyone's fascination with the "mustard" color.  You're
killing me with that one. Smile

I assume you're talking about clGold (it does sort of resemble Colmans Mustard). The reason I choose it is that its clearly not the colour for the edit box and the difference stands out nicely so I can easily tell if things are right or not. It could just as well be red or deep blue.

It is NOT a colour I would choose for production.

I was just kidding, but good point. Smile

BTW, there's a new build up, so give it a try on this issue.
