# 429 SQL Queries on Read-Only Drives or Directories Are Failing with Errors

How do I use a query on tables residing on a CD rom or Read-only drive ?? Tables work OK but I need to use queries. I get an error "# 11013 Access denied to data file" Incidentally I am trying to do a query on a database on a shared network drive with read-only access. Tables have no problem connecting if the read-only attribute is set.

All source tables in queries were being opened in read-write mode. This has been changed so that source tables are only opened in read-write mode if the RequestLive property is set to True.

Resolution

Fixed Problem on 5/26/1999 in version 1.14 build 1
