# 2925 ODBC Driver Not Working Properly with Word and Excel When Importing Data

Trying to import data using Word will result in the following error:

Unable to obtain a list of tables from the data source

Also, trying to import data using Excel (MS Query) will result in the following error:

String data, right truncated
Couldn't read this file

Comments

This problem was caused by the ElevateDB ODBC Driver not handling the catalog queries properly.

Resolution

Fixed Problem on 2/10/2009 in version 2.02 build 8
