# 1769 ODBC Driver Causing Problems When Unloaded

ODBC driver v4.08 does not appear to work in Excel 2000! Works fine in Access 2000.

A simple query in Excel shows the problem ...

Load Excel 2000, Get External Data, New Database Query

Choose a previously created ODBC System Source based on DBISAM ODBC v4.08

Choose any single table.

At this point 'Preview Now' works correctly!

No filters

Sort on key field

Return Data to Ms Exel, big pause ~25secs

Return External Data to excel Appears ... choose ok

ANother big pause ~ 25 secs

Excel closes down with no error.
