# 4698 Trying to Read a Table with GUID Fields Causes Error

When I try and open a table with the Dbisam ODBC driver version 4.36 (32 bit) it all works no problem, but if I upgrade to the version 4.44 it throws an error. There is a GUID field in the table that I suspect is the problem but am unsure as to why it is causing an error as it shows in DbSys correctly as a GUID field 38 chars long.

The issue was with the improvement to the ODBC driver in 4.44 Build 3 that allowed it to handle GUID fields as binary instead of strings for client ODBC applications.

Fixed Problem on 11/25/2018 in version 4.46 build 1
