# 2910 GUID Columns Not Displayed Properly in Visual Studio Query Designer Result Set Grid

I'm new to ElevateDB, but am seeing a problem with VS2008. None of my GUID fields have their values displayed when creating a new query in the IDE. I'm getting "<Unable to read data>" for each GUID value.

My interim work around is to cast the GUIDs to a varchar in VS and keep moving.

Comments Comments and Workarounds
The workaround is as indicated above. The problem was that ElevateDB was returning the GUID column values as character strings instead of native GUID values.
