# 3570 Turning on TEDBEngine ExclusiveFileAccess Property Causes Access Error

I saw in source code of ElevateDB Server, that you read the property "Exclusive File Access" from ini-File. I thought using an exclusive File Access from DB Server speeding up the access to database. But if I set this property to 1 the ElevateDB Server fails to open DB with error " ... unable to access .EDBLck file ...".

Comments and Workarounds

The workaround is to not enable this property (the default).

Fixed Problem on 3/14/2012 in version 2.09 build 1
