Thread Table Creation Issue (Build 2)
Tue, Jan 2 2007 3:55 PMPermanent Link

Robert Smith
I have created a database and am trying to add a table.

1.  I click on "Create New Table"
2.  I get the table definition screen
3.  I setup the main table info as:

Name:  Test1
Version Number: 1.00
Description:  Test Table

3.  I setup the following column:

Field Name: FName
Field Desc: FirstName
Field Type: Char
Length: 30

And hit "Add Column"

I then click Ok to generate the table and get the following error:

---------------------------
ElevateDB Manager
---------------------------
ElevateDB Error #700 An error was found in the statement at line 3 and column 45 (Expected constant value but instead found "FirstName")
---------------------------
OK

Robert,

<< I then click Ok to generate the table and get the following error: >>

It's fixed.  It was a simple SQL generation error on the DESCRIPTION for
columns and constraints in the EDB manager.
