There is no need to - EDB will create the database folder automatically as
necessary if it doesn't already exist.

I see. It is the select folder dialog that does not allow creating folders.
It just doesn't "feel right" to not have that option in that dialog.

If I select an existing subfolder with the dialog and then type a subfolder,
it is created.
