EDB mngr refresh problems |

"Harry de Boer" | Tim,
In some cases pressing the refresh button, causes strange results. Refresh when standing on the tables in the tree does not refresh the tables (sometimes) and then the same goes well when activating the db in the treeview (now the tables are refreshed). And I just encountered that when refreshing a db a view that I dropped appeared again. However clicking on the view said: View does not exists. So it is not accrate at all times. Regards, Harry |

Dropping a view interactively here removes the view from treeview as expected, and then dropping a view via SQL and then refreshing the treeview gives the expected result also. Just a reminder to everyone - using straight SQL statements does not automatically refresh the treeview in the EDB Manager. Only when using the built-in dialogs do automatic refreshes happen. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

"Harry de Boer" | With build 5
Open a table with data Goto sql tab of database and do a delete from table goto table in tree, open data tab (data is still there), hit the refresh button (data is still there!) When you close the table and open it again, THEN the correct (no data) is shown Regards, Harry "Tim Young [Elevate Software]" <timyoung@elevatesoft.com> schreef in bericht news:36541154-A3F6-4B7E-BD71-F70EC66D94F6@news.elevatesoft.com... > Harry, > > << In some cases pressing the refresh button, causes strange results. > Refresh when standing on the tables in the tree does not refresh the tables > (sometimes) and then the same goes well when activating the db in the > treeview (now the tables are refreshed). What size table (# rows) are you using and are you deleting a row in the beginning, end, etc. of the table ? -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

1000000 records (deleting all rows with a sql statement) Also, it still happens on other occasions too. I will try to make a few cases with a step to step description.
