Not sure if this one's been reported - if you create a new database in EDBMan you have to disconnect and reconnect the session to see it. Roy Lambert |

<< Not sure if this one's been reported - if you create a new database in EDBMan you have to disconnect and reconnect the session to see it. >> See it where - in the treeview ? Did you create it using straight SQL or via the Create Database dialog ? -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

I promise to get better at reporting (honest). Created via sql using the tab against the Default session and its not visible either in the TreeView or the right hand pane (what's your name for that?). Tim Young [Elevate Software] Elevate Software, Inc. timyoung@elevatesoft.com | Roy,
<< I promise to get better at reporting (honest). >> Thanks. I know it's a lot to take in and remember, but I'm pretty useless to you if I can't figure out what you're actually doing. << Created via sql using the tab against the Default session and its not visible either in the TreeView or the right hand pane (what's your name for that?). >> I call it the Properties window or pane. To answer the question - if you create any objects via DDL in the SQL window, you'll need to hit the Refresh button at the top to refresh the treeview and make the new object visible. Originally we had the treeview set up to auto-refresh, but it tended to slow down SQL execution in situations where the user doesn't care to see the new object(s) yet. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
