Charalabos Michael | Hello Chris,

Yes, you're right, particularly for testing purposes. And while we're on the subject, how about a button to add 'x' rows of random data to a table? A simple parameter file for each table is all it needs, and the other object database, Caché (see www.intersystems.com/cache/ ) can do it. -- Chris (XP-Pro + Delphi 7 Architect + DBISAM 4.25 build 3 + EDB 1.00 build 6) |

Does it run like lightning then? Roy Lambert |

Well, I tried version 5.0 for a while and was very impressed. I didn't adopt it in the end, primarily for the licensing cost - over £100 per user, which wouldn't work for my kind of clientèle. (but developers get to use the single-user version for free) -- Chris (XP-Pro + Delphi 7 Architect + DBISAM 4.25 build 3 + EDB 1.00 build 6) |

At that price per user they can afford to do a lot of pretty things. Roy Lambert |

<< Is there any "Empty Table" on EDB Manager ? >> There is, but it isn't exposed. There are some issues with using the empty functionality with RI that may generate more support questions than we care to handle right now. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

And yes, the alternative is to use DELETE FROM MyTable for now. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
